This book is written for the undergraduate medical students to acquire basic knowledge of ophthalmology to practice as general physician or family physician. The student will find it very useful in preparing for examination as unnecessary voluminous specialised ophthalmic procedures and rare diseases of eye are omitted which is meant for ophthalmologist. However, a clinical classification of all eye diseases are given at the beginning of each chapter and from this common important diseases are discussed in detail. The student may refer the rare diseases from highly specialised ophthalmology book meant for ophthalmologist.
This book will be also useful to students of optometry, ophthalmic assistant and general practitioner.
