About the Book

Research and Development mmes reached a Stage when its credibility became a question mark. Theoretical orientation eclipsed the emergence of practical skills needed by teachers. Competency based techniques following mastery learning regenerated teacher education programmes in recent years. Micro-Teaching is an approach using mastery learning to develop teaching skills It is now widely used in both pre-service and in-service teacher education programmes. The present Book on 'Micro-Teaching1 is an innovation adapted to Indian conditions Emerging from Research and development activities engineered by the author it is one of the few innovations which has captured the attention of teacher Educators at both Elementary and secondary level it is being used effectively in preparing the prospective Teachers to teach effectively and in-service teachers to enrich their repertoire of teaching skills.
