He obtained Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and has vast experience in teaching, Research and extension. He published 50 research papers in National & International Journals and attended several seminars/conferences/symposium and compiled many seminars proceedings.

He is Life Member of Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers (LM-1696) and Life Member of Indian Society of Ergonomics (LM-94). He served as executive member of ISAE as Director (Award) during 1996-1998 and treasurer of ISAE (Gujarat Chapter) for the period of 2 Years. He is referee of several National & International Journals and External examiner of other Universities. He obtained a Patent on "Protective Cab for Operator of an Agricultural Tractor and like Vehicles.

He guided many B.Tech., M.Tech. and Ph.D. students. He is recipient of Senior Research Fellowship Award from Council of Scientific & Industrial Research for his Ph. D.

Er. H.B. Solanki, M.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) is a Senior Research Assistant in College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Anand Agricultural University, Godhara, Gujarat with a specialization in Farm Machinery and Power. Presently, he is engaged in Teaching and research programme of undergraduate courses in the field of Farm Machinery and Power.

He worked for 9 years as a workshop incharge in design and fabrication of farm machinery workshop of Rural Engineering Department, Gujarat Agricultural University, Sardar Krushinagar, Dist., Banaskantha, Gujarat.

He also worked for 3 years in various research projects on Water conservation Technology especially for Bhal and Coastal area in National Agricultural Research Project, Anand Agricultural University, Arnej, Dist., Ahmedabad, Gujarat and for 2 years in All India Coordinated Research Project (A1CRP) on Post Harvest Technology, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh.

He published several research papers in National and International journals. He also published several popular articles and attended several seminars and symposium.

Er. Solanki is a life member of Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers (LM 10303), New Delhi and Gujarat Association of Agricultural Sciences (LM 928), Ahmedabad. He is also a member of CAET-Alumni Association, Junagadh.
