About The Book
Thousands of inscriptions have been copied over a period of more than 100 years from different Parts of India. Inscription serves as the important source material for the reconstruction of history. Coping new inscriptions is a desideratum on the one hand, they also reveal new information for further Research on the other.
The Epigraphical Society of India has been established with an idea to provide a forum to bring out fresh information and Epigraphical discoveries made in different parts of the country.
The Journal of the Epigraphical Society of India will provide plenty of information, if judiously utilized, to reconstruct our past. This volume published is of considerable value and guide the epigraphists to understand the various aspects of Indian history.
