About the Author
Dr. C.M. Narayanan received his B.Sc. Engg., from Banaras Hindu University, M.E. From Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Ph.D. From IIT, Kharagpur. He is The Author of more than thirty six Research papers in leading international journals. His Fields of interest are Transport Phenomena, Energy Engineering, Computer Aided Design, Mechanical Operations and Biomedical Engineering. He is an honorary consultant to many chemical Industries and is an established expert on Computer Aided Design and Software Development. He has coordinated quite a few national level workshops on Cad and has convened a good number of national conferences/symposia. He is the Life Member of a large number of Professional Societies such as Institution of Engineers (India), Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, Indian Society for Technical Education, Indian Society for Heat and Mass Transfer and Bioenergy Society of India.
Dr. B.C. Bhattacharya received his B.Ch.E. from Jadavpur University, M.Tech. from IIT, Kharagpur and Ph.D. from IIT, Madras. He has retired as professor-in-charge of Biotechnology division of IIT, Kharagpur. He is the author of a large number of research papers particularly on chemical equipment design, heat transfer and biotechnology and is a winner of German Academic Exchange Fellowhship during 1963-65. He is a fellow of Institution of Engineers (India) and a member of Bioenergy Society of India.
